Adhesion Promoters

Advanced Polymer, Inc. provides a line of specialty adhesion promoters used to help bond low surface energy substrates such as plastics, rubber and different composites without the need for surface pre-treatments. The specialty adhesion promoters, under the AdvaBond® product line, are typically used to alter the substrate’s functionality to make it easier to bond with other substrates or different coatings.

Primers/Additives

Waterborne, chlorinated, maleic anhydride modified adhesion promoter for various polyolefinic substrates. AdvaBond® 7200 can be used as a primer or as an additive to a coating formulation. Designed for lower temperature baking system.
Waterborne, chlorine-free adhesion promoter for polyethylene substrates. AdvaBond® 7302 can be used as a primer or as an additive to a coating formulation.
Waterborne adhesion promoter for low surface energy substrates for heat seal coating/adhesive applications. AdvaBond® 7419 can be used as a primer onto the substrate or as an additive into a waterborne coating or adhesive formulation.
Waterborne adhesion promoter for low surface energy substrates for heat seal coating/adhesive applications. AdvaBond® 7426 can be used as a primer onto the substrate or as an additive into a waterborne coating or adhesive formulation. Designed for high temperature resistance applications.
Solvent-borne, chlorine-free adhesion promoter for polyolefinic substrates. It is designed to work on surfaces without any surface treatment such as corona or flame. AdvaBond® 8100 can be used as a primer or as an additive to a coating or adhesive formulation. Supplied in Xylene.
Solvent-borne, chlorine-free adhesion promoter for polyolefinic substrates. It is designed to work on surfaces without any surface treatment such as corona or flame. AdvaBond® 8117 can be used as a primer or as an additive to a coating or adhesive formulation where chemical resistance is needed. Excellent fit for automotive primer applications.
Solvent-borne, chlorinated adhesion promoter for various polyolefinic substrates. AdvaBond® 8203 can be used as a primer or as an additive to a coating or adhesive formulation. Excellent fit for polypropylene containing substrates. Supplied in Xylene.

Silicone compound used to enhance the adhesion of sealants, coatings and adhesives to both porous and non-porous surfaces.

Silane Coupling Agents

Vinyltrimethoxy silane coupling agent that can be used to improve adhesion between organic coatings and inorganic fillers and substrates. AP-SILANE 21 is recommended for crosslinking polyethylene.
Vinyltriethoxy silane coupling agent that can be used to promote adhesion between orgainc coatings and inorganic fillers and substrates. AP-SILANE 22 is reommended for crosslinking polyethylene.
N-propyltrimethoxy silane that will bond to inorganic substrates and fillers and produce a thin, clear hydrophobic film. AP-SILANE 30 is compatible with fiberglass resin systems.
Amino-functional silane coupling agent. Water soluble. Compatible with epoxy, phenolic, melamine and furan resins.
Amino-functional silane coupling agent that will impart superior adhesion and strength properties. AP-SILANE 32 is compatible with epoxy, phenolic and melamine resins.
Technical grade amino functional silane coupling agent that can be used with epoxy, phenolic, melamine and other organic resins to improve adhesion and structural strength.
Amino functional silane coupling agent that will impart superior adhesion and increased strength to reinforced phenolic, acrylic, melamine and epoxy thermoset systems.
Epoxy functional silane coupling agent that can be used with epoxy, phenolic an melamine resin systems to enhance adhesion and increse strength.
Technical grade of a methacryloxy-functional silane coupling agent that can be used to improve adhesion and strength in coatings, composites, adhesives and sealants that cure via free radical reaction.
Mercaptopropyl trimethoxy silane coupling agent that can be used to improve adhesion and strength characteristics when bonding rubber to inorganic substrates.
Trimethoxymethylsilane coupling agent that will impart a high degree of hydrophobicity to treated surfaces.
High purity N-octyl-triethoxysilane that can be used to formulate hydrophobic products for various surfaces including concrete, stone, glass, metal etc. AP-Silane 98 will penetrate deeply into porous substrates and chemically react to provide a great durability of its properties.
