Reactive silicone resin that produces a durable, super-hydrophobic treatment when applied to fabric, leather, natural stone, grout, wood, etc. APS-232HCA will not change the appearance of the treated substrate and treatment will only be realized when water or other liquids come in contact with the treated surface. Depending on the type of substrate the static contact angle of deionized water on the surface can range from 120° to greater than 150°.

For testing APS-232HCA was diluted with Ispar G (odorless mineral
spirits) to 2.5% and 3.0% actives (5% to 6% as supplied) and applied
via brush or pump spray to grout, paper, acrylic woven fabric and leather. The treated substrates were allowed to dry/cure for 24 hours and
were then tested for static contact angle measurement following the
application of a droplet of deionized water. Pictures of the water droplet on leather and acrylic fabric are shown below:
